In the baby room, we have planned a variety of activities to support children’s physical
development and communication skills. We’ve noticed a strong interest in music and
storybooks among the children. To nurture this, we’ve incorporated music and movement
activities using instruments, encouraging children to explore different movements that
correspond to musical actions. Reading plays a crucial role in language development and
expanding vocabulary. We’ve been enjoying rhyme books and nursery rhymes together, with
children eagerly participating in actions and filling in song gaps. They delight in outdoor
water play with a paddling pool, where they explore different textures and sensations. Using
their hands and feet, they create vibrant paintings, fostering their creativity and motor skills.
They’ve also been busy crafting Father’s Day cards, engaging in music sessions with shakers
and singing favorite nursery rhymes. Exploring bubbles outdoors adds to their sensory play,
while garden picnics and reading “Five Little Ducks” and other engaging books about babies
enrich their learning experiences. These activities nurture their curiosity and development in a
nurturing environment.
