At Kiddicare, our menu offers a wide range of nutritious and culturally diverse dishes, freshly prepared using quality ingredients to support children’s health, growth, and overall wellbeing. Our meals are carefully planned to provide the balanced nutrition children require as part of their daily diet.
When preparing meals, our chef pays particular attention to the reduction of salt and sugar, in line with EYFS nutritional guidance, while ensuring food remains enjoyable, varied, and appealing to young children. We regularly take on board feedback from children, parents, and staff to ensure individual needs are met and that children’s favourite dishes are included wherever possible.
We are proud to celebrate the diversity of our nursery community. Our menu reflects a range of cultures and tastes, helping children develop positive attitudes towards food and encouraging them to try new flavours. We warmly welcome parents and families to take part by sharing ideas, recipes, or dishes from their cultural or family traditions, supporting an inclusive and collaborative approach to mealtimes.
Children are offered breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, and tea each day. Fresh drinking water is freely available throughout the day, and milk is provided during snack times.
All meals are freshly prepared on site and adapted to suit each child’s age, stage of development, dietary needs, and allergy requirements, in line with EYFS statutory guidance.

Oral Health & Tooth Brushing
At Kiddicare, we actively promote good oral health as part of our commitment to children’s overall health and wellbeing. Our menu is carefully planned to limit added sugars and support healthy teeth, in line with EYFS and public health guidance.
We support tooth brushing routines within the nursery to help children develop positive oral health habits from an early age. Tooth brushing is carried out in a safe and hygienic manner, following local authority and public health recommendations. Children are supervised and supported appropriately, with routines adapted to suit their age and stage of development.
Members of our team have completed oral health and tooth brushing training, ensuring staff are confident in supporting children effectively and promoting good dental hygiene. Equipment is stored hygienically, and children are encouraged to build independence and understanding of why brushing teeth is important.
We work in partnership with parents and carers, sharing oral health information and supporting consistent routines between home and nursery.
